8 Warning Signs of Low Blood Oxygen Levels

Oxygen is essential for survival, but low oxygen levels can cause severe health issues affecting organs like the heart, liver, and brain. Several factors can contribute to low blood oxygen, including chronic lung conditions, smoking, stress, sleep apnea, poor diet, and nutrient deficiencies.

Common signs of low oxygen include shortness of breath, dizziness, rapid heartbeat, muscle pain, heavy legs, brittle nails, bluish skin, and confusion. If you experience these symptoms, it may indicate oxygen deprivation.

To boost oxygen levels, consider consuming iron-rich foods, reducing refined carbohydrates, eating vitamin E-rich foods, spending time outdoors, staying hydrated, and practicing deep breathing exercises. If symptoms persist, consult a healthcare provider, as low oxygen levels can be measured with an oximeter, and levels below 92% may require medical attention.
