Take a Look at Ozzy Osbourne’s Los Angeles Home — and Learn Why He Didn’t Want to Pass Away on U.S. Soil

Ozzy Osbourne called Los Angeles home for nearly four decades. In 2015, he and Sharon settled into a stunning Mediterranean Revival estate in Hancock Park. After his passing on July 22, 2025, fans looked to this home, where many of his joys and struggles unfolded.

On the day of his death, a security guard stood outside their California home. Sharon and their children shared a heartfelt statement confirming Ozzy had passed surrounded by family, asking for privacy during their grief.

Ozzy rose to fame in England but spent much of his later life in America. Despite his success in the U.S., he remained deeply connected to his British roots. In 2022, he and Sharon announced plans to move back to the U.K., but Ozzy admitted mixed feelings, saying, “If I had my way, I’d stay in America. I’m American now.”

The LA home witnessed both comfort and hardship. In 2019, Ozzy fell inside the house while recovering from pneumonia. The accident worsened old injuries and led to surgery, forcing him to cancel tours.

The 11,500-square-foot estate was purchased in 2015 for nearly \$12 million and listed in 2022 for \$18 million after renovations. Built in 1929, the home features six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a guest apartment, and an elevator connecting every floor.

Inside, the home reflects warmth and elegance with rich wood floors, cozy armchairs, and tall windows letting in natural light. A plush screening room with a fireplace and a luxurious primary suite add to the charm.

Ozzy’s LA home was more than a residence—it symbolized his life of music, family, and resilience. Though he longed to return to England, Los Angeles remained a significant chapter in his legacy.
