JFK’s grandson sparks criticism after making a joke about Second Lady Usha Vance

John F. Kennedy’s grandson, Jack Schlossberg, has sparked backlash after a series of provocative social media posts, culminating in a bizarre joke about Vice President J.D. Vance’s wife, Usha Vance.

The controversy began on April 6, 2025, when Schlossberg announced on X (formerly Twitter), “I’m having a son!!” calling it the happiest day of his life and noting the child would be born out of wedlock. On Instagram, he added, “We named Jason Schlossberg! 5 pounds, 0 ounces. April 6, 2025.”

The situation escalated when he posted a Photoshopped image of Usha Vance holding a baby with his own adult face partially over the child’s head, captioned, “Little Jason and his mom. You never feel prepared to have children. Until you become one one day.”

People magazine highlighted the image, prompting Schlossberg to repost it with the caption, “The joke is that I’m capable of producing a male heir.” Critics on social media called him “an embarrassment” and urged him to delete the posts.

This wasn’t his first provocative reference to the Vance family. In January 2025, he tweeted, “True or false: Usha Vance is way hotter than Jackie O,” referencing his grandmother Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. The next day, he added, “I’m a literal pervert… This child will stop at nothing to get attention.”

In March, he posted another altered photo of Usha Vance kissing his cheek, calling her “My love, my sweet Ushie.”

Speaking to MSNBC’s Jen Psaki, Schlossberg admitted his online antics are deliberate, aimed at provoking reactions. “It’s hard to make an impression on the internet… flipping people out is half the fight,” he said.

He also mentioned trolling both Vice President Vance and his cousin RFK Jr., suggesting he views both as political targets.
