A pair of deputies from Brevard County, Florida, received praise for assisting a family that seemed to be down on its luck

In a heartwarming incident in Brevard County, Florida, Deputy Sean Cronin and Field Training Officer Anthony Gonnelly of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office received commendation for their compassionate response during a routine traffic stop in Cocoa, Florida. Recognizing a family facing hardship, instead of simply issuing a citation for a minor traffic offense, the deputies took proactive measures. They reached out to the county’s Community Services Team to secure a car seat and purchase essential groceries for the struggling family.

With the aid of two team members, the officers managed to locate a suitable car seat and then personally covered the cost of groceries.
