Chapter 2: The Rule Breaker
The sudden, explosive sound sliced through the delicate string music like a butcher’s blade.
Every head snapped toward the entrance.
A man marched inside.
Tailored midnight-black suit.
His strides were predatory, precise. No polite nods. No hesitation whatsoever.
His piercing eyes… locked onto a single target.
Me.
He carved a path through the city’s billionaires and socialites as if they were nothing more than transparent ghosts.
The diamond-draped woman next to me adjusted her silk dress, preparing a seductive smile, assuming this powerful newcomer was approaching her.
He wasn’t.
He blew past her, carrying a chilling aura of authority.
And halted directly inches from my worn-out shoes.
There was zero confusion in his intense stare.
No trace of mockery.
Only a desperate urgency… and an overwhelming, absolute reverence.
I looked up, my heart hammering against my ribs, terrified I was about to be fired on the spot.
“Sir…?” I stammered, my voice barely a whisper.
But his next words were about to tear my world, and theirs, entirely apart.
