The Woman In Gold – Part 3
Panic exploded across the ballroom.
Chairs scraped violently against marble floors. Glasses shattered. Voices overlapped in confusion as guests tried to understand what had just happened.
The document on the table changed everything.
One glance at the seal stamped across the yellowed paper was enough to make several powerful men immediately step back. Because the name written there wasn’t just dangerous — it was explosive.
The woman in gold remained perfectly still while chaos swallowed the room around her.
“You lied to everyone,” she said quietly.
The man across from her looked like he could barely breathe. Sweat rolled down his temple as he reached for the document with shaking hands. “Where did you get this?”
But she already knew the answer didn’t matter anymore.
Across the ballroom, security guards suddenly moved toward the exits. Phones disappeared into pockets. Guests who arrived smiling moments earlier were now desperately trying to avoid being seen near the scandal unfolding in front of them.
Then the older woman near the staircase finally broke.
“She was never supposed to know,” she whispered.
The room went dead silent again.
Because suddenly, everyone understood the terrifying truth — this wasn’t just about hidden family secrets anymore.
It was about power.
And the woman they tried to erase had just walked back into the room holding proof that could destroy them all.
