Adric White’s failed robbery at a Family Dollar store took a dramatic twist when a concealed-carry permit holder intervened. White, armed and demanding cash, initially seemed in control. However, a courageous Good Samaritan acted swiftly. Ignoring a warning not to move, White turned, leading to five shots fired by the Good Samaritan.

White survived with five gunshot wounds but suffered a blow to his pride. He received medical treatment and faced armed robbery charges, a move his family contested.

They argued the armed citizen shouldn’t have used lethal force, despite the risks. The Good Samaritan chose to protect store employees threatened by White’s aggressive actions, including brandishing a firearm and making threats.

Given the imminent danger, the use of deadly force was legally justifiable. White and his family’s objections seemed rooted in their frustration with his foiled plans.

The locations of White’s gunshot wounds remain undisclosed, but he’s stable, expected to recover fully. The anonymous Good Samaritan expressed regret at resorting to deadly force in this first-time situation.
