Audrina Patridge Mourns the Loss of Her 15-Year-Old Niece, Sadie Loza
Audrina Patridge, best known for her role on The Hills, has shared heartbreaking news about the passing of her 15-year-old niece, Sadie Loza. Sadie, born in 2008 to Audrina’s sister, Casey Loza, and Aaron Hershman, tragically passed away just a week after celebrating her birthday.
Audrina honored her niece in an emotional Instagram post, writing, “I know it’s not goodbye forever, but it is the hardest to say goodbye for now. We will miss you and treasure every moment we had with you. Rest in peace!! We will love you forever and ever!” Tributes poured in from friends and celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Brody Jenner, and Rachel Bilson, expressing their condolences.
Casey Loza also shared her grief on social media, describing it as the “hardest thing I have ever had to do.” Reflecting on her daughter’s life, she included a poignant reference to the first law of thermodynamics: “Transformation is preferable to death. Her story will save many lives. Her memory will live on forever.”
Sadie’s stepfather, Kyle Loza, a motocross rider and musician, also posted a heartfelt tribute: “I’ll keep your memory with me until I see you again. I’ll never stop loving you, and I’d do anything to laugh with you again. You were my first love.”
Kyle and Casey married in 2009, a year after Sadie’s birth. Together, they have two sons, Draven, 13, and Vallon, 4.
Audrina Patridge’s Own Journey
Audrina, who has a six-year-old daughter, Kirra Max, has faced her own challenges. Kirra was born in 2016 during Audrina’s short-lived marriage to BMX rider Cory Bohan. The marriage ended in divorce and a restraining order in 2018 due to abuse allegations.
Since her time on The Hills, Audrina has kept a relatively low profile, appearing on Dancing With the Stars Season 11 and making it to the sixth week.
Sadie’s death remains a tragedy, with no cause revealed yet. Her passing serves as a somber reminder to cherish loved ones and hold them close. Our deepest condolences go out to Audrina Patridge and her family during this unimaginable time.
