Anne appeared vibrant just hours before her death, performing in an improv comedy show in Brooklyn. Attendees described her as joyful and full of life that evening.

Born in 1969 in Cazenovia, New York, Anne’s passion for cooking was inspired by her mother and Julia Child. A 1996 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, she became a Food Network staple through shows like Worst Cooks in America and Secrets of a Restaurant Chef.

Anne’s signature spiky blond hair and energetic personality made her a fan favorite. Her teaching style emphasized fun and confidence in the kitchen. She also authored two successful cookbooks.

In recent years, Anne found personal happiness with Claxton, whom she met in 2018. They married in 2021 and built a cozy life in Brooklyn with Claxton’s son, Javier.

Food Network honored her as “a remarkable person and culinary talent.” Her legacy of joy and inspiration lives on.
