Confession Takes a Surprising Turn

In the dim light, a young woman with golden blonde hair entered the church confessional. “I have sinned, Father,” she said, clasping her hands nervously together. I am expecting a child.

“How did this happen, my child?” the priest, a gentle old man with a gentle face, asked in surprise.

“I think it must be the second coming,” she said after hesitating.

“The second coming?” the priest asked, completely bewildered.

The woman nodded and smiled mischievously. “Yes, Dad, since I ingested the first one.”

The priest mumbled, “Lord, help us all,” as he sat in stunned silence, not knowing whether to chastise her or laugh. She grinned as she walked out of the confessional, leaving the priest speechless.
