Woman Fights Off Attacker in South Carolina, Biting Off His Tongue

A courageous 33-year-old woman in North Charleston, South Carolina, thwarted a teenage attacker who broke into her home with the intent to sexually assault her. The assailant, armed with a knife, forced his way inside after repeatedly knocking on her door and hiding.

Despite being punched and dragged to her bedroom, the woman fought back fiercely. In a critical moment, she bit off the attacker’s tongue when he attempted to force it into her mouth. She also managed to kick him in the groin, forcing him to flee the scene.

The attacker left his severed tongue behind, which became a key piece of evidence. He was later arrested when he sought medical attention at a hospital.

Authorities commended the woman for her bravery and quick thinking, which not only saved her life but also led to the apprehension of the assailant.
