My Fiancée Decided to Lock My Daughter up to Exclude Her from Our Wedding — I Overheard It and Came up with a Plan

I was walking past the kitchen when I overheard my fiancée whispering to her friend.

“She’ll ruin everything,” she said, her voice dripping with frustration. “I’ll just lock her in her room for the ceremony. She won’t even know what’s happening.”

She was talking about my daughter.

My heart pounded. I had been so excited to marry this woman, believing she would love my little girl as much as I did. But now, I saw the truth—she wanted my daughter out of the picture.

I stayed quiet, pretending I hadn’t heard a thing. But instead of the wedding we had planned, I made a different arrangement. On the big day, she arrived at the venue, only to find a note from me.

“The wedding is off. No one locks my daughter away—especially not someone who claimed to love us both.”

As I walked away with my little girl, I knew I had made the right choice.
