Her body was itchy, he thought it was an allergy

Laura Gómez, a 32-year-old mother, initially brushed off the intense itching that plagued her as a minor allergic reaction. Balancing parenting and daily responsibilities, she suspected the irritation might stem from something simple—new detergent, food, or soap. In response, she adjusted her lifestyle, eliminating possible allergens and visiting a dermatologist to find answers.

The doctor prescribed standard treatments: topical creams and antihistamines. Despite following the medical advice closely, Laura saw no improvement. The itching not only persisted—it escalated. It soon began interfering with her sleep and overall well-being, leaving her drained, frustrated, and emotionally worn down. Each day became harder to manage.

“It was unbearable,” she later shared. The sensation was so disturbing that she often scratched herself raw, but even that brought no relief. At the time, she still believed it was a stubborn allergic reaction. What she didn’t know was that something far more serious was unfolding beneath the surface.

As the days turned into weeks, her symptoms refused to ease. The persistence of the itching, its severity, and the ineffectiveness of treatments pointed to a deeper issue—one that no over-the-counter remedy or dietary change could fix. Laura’s growing discomfort and lack of answers began to take a psychological toll, feeding anxiety and fear.

Then, the truth emerged—one that would shatter her assumptions and change her life forever. What had seemed like a simple skin issue was actually a warning sign from her body, one she could no longer afford to ignore.
