A devastating nightclub fire in North Macedonia has claimed the lives of at least 59 people, with many more injured. Among the victims was 25-year-old football player Aleksandar Stojanov, who tragically lost his life while trying to rescue partygoers trapped inside the burning venue.
According to witnesses, Stojanov had already made it out safely but chose to run back into the inferno in a desperate attempt to help others escape. His selfless act has been hailed as heroic, with tributes pouring in from teammates, fans, and community members.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire, which broke out during a packed concert attended by over 500 people. Firefighters battled the raging flames for hours, and officials fear the death toll may rise as more bodies are recovered.
