Jimmy Carter’s Grandson Shares Worrying Health Update On “Really Sick” Former President

On the show Claim to Fame, contestant Hugo Wentzel, who is the grandson of former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, shared updates about Carter’s health and his own interactions with him. Due to COVID regulations, Wentzel’s visits to Carter have been limited, but he and his family continue to support him.

Despite being sick, Carter remains mentally active. Wentzel also discussed his grandmother Rosalynn Carter’s dementia diagnosis, emphasizing her significance and moments of clarity. Wentzel praised his grandfather’s accomplishments, referring to him as an amazing figure who stood for equality.

He expressed love and admiration for both grandparents and conveyed a message of leading with love. Wentzel’s heartfelt note to Carter echoed his intention to preserve Carter’s legacy.
