Struggles with Intimacy
Kendra Wilkinson recently revealed how her relationship with Playboy founder Hugh Hefner affected her views on sex and relationships. Speaking on the Amy & T.J. podcast, she admitted, “I struggle still to this day with my relationships and my views on sex.” Entering the Playboy Mansion at 18 and dating Hefner, then 78, left her with lingering issues. Therapy helped her realize, “You have a little bit of a problem when it comes to thinking of sex.”
Shaped by the Playboy Experience
Wilkinson acknowledged that dating Hefner at such a young age shaped her perception of relationships. Host T.J. Holmes pointed out, “You hadn’t been necessarily exposed to healthy relationships,” prompting Wilkinson to reflect on how it led to “unhealthy thoughts.” She explained, “I’m more of a fun idea type of person,” rather than focusing on marriage.
Seeking Healing
Previously, Wilkinson shared her struggles with People, recalling, “I was spiraling out of control and I felt like I wasn’t strong enough to survive.” However, therapy helped her regain confidence. “Now, I feel beautiful… I’m giving my kids all I got.”
Moving Forward
Today, Wilkinson embraces personal growth and healing, focusing on being the best version of herself. “I’m so proud of myself for battling this and finding the solution and getting the treatment I needed.”
