Taking a flight is not always a pleasant experience, and a lot of people seem to dread the entire experience. Apart from the anxiety associated with taking the flight, being in an enclosed space with so many people can also be annoying.

However, this long-haul flight turned into quite a nightmare for some passengers due to the actions of one child.

A 14-hour-long Qatar Airways flight became a nightmare for a lot of passengers after a ‘stabbing’ took place on board.

A passenger on board the flight shared a video on TIKTOK that showed a woman talking to a flight attendant, clearly in disbelief.

“She’s over here stabbing people with forks. She just randomly stabbed me with a fork!” the woman can be heard telling the member of the flight crew.

As the camera pans wider, you can see a flight attendant snatching a fork from a child’s hand while another flight crew member works ot wake the child’s mother up.

“Her momma didn’t do nothing,” the woman filming the video explained to her audience later in another video.

“At this point, we feel like the mom was probably tired and definitely wanted somebody else to watch her kids,” she shared.

During the tense moment, the passenger is so aggravated by the child’s actions that they hold up their sandal, threatening to strike the child if they do not stop.

“I’m gonna f**k her up,” she is heard saying in the video “I’m going to smack the s**t out of her. I’m not kidding.”

The video has divided the internet, with some arguing that the passenger’s reaction was justified, while others claim it was an overreaction.

“You are all laughing, but this is not okay,” one person wrote under the TikTok video. “It’s only a child for crying out loud!” another wrote exasperated.

The person who uploaded the original TikTok video, posted an update where they explained the entire situation and how it had escalated to the stabbing.

“Maybe about 30, 45 minutes prior to that, maybe even an hour before that, there was another lady that was sitting right with a little girl. The little girl was actually standing, grabbing the TV remote, pulling it, doing all this stuff,” she explained.

The passenger holding up her sandal and threatening to hit the child was the last resort in an attempt to prompt the mother into action.

“We almost cussed the lady out because we were like, ‘Lady, get your kid!’” she shared. She went on to explain the moment she found out something way awry.

“My sister said, ‘I think she’s gonna try to stab me.’ I’m like, ‘Girl, maybe she wants you to take the fork.’ Obviously not. What happened? The girl definitely came over there and stabbed my sister.”

She also explained that there was another child in the cabin who she believed to be this child’s sibling who also caused issues and ”damn near started terrorizing” everyone present.

Some empathized with the mother, with one person commenting, “I think any parent can understand how exhausting both raising and traveling with a child can be. She sounds like she was traveling alone.”

“It’s assault, and the lady that got stabbed can and could sue the parents. It’s not okay to be touched, much less stabbed, by unsupervised children,” another shared their two cents.

While some were appalled by the mother’s lack of remorse or action, others were able to overlook it and excuse her. You can watch the video on TIKTOK
