Saved by Instinct: 7 Times Gut Feelings Were Life-Saving

This didn’t happen to me directly, but to my daughter. We had just arrived at the food court in the mall when she suddenly became agitated and said, “We have to leave! We have to leave now!” At first, I thought she was feeling sick. I told her to head to the car and said I’d grab lunch for her siblings and meet her there. But she looked absolutely terrified and insisted, “NO! We have to go NOW!”

I had no idea what was wrong, but something in her voice made me listen. We all quickly left and got into the car. About ten minutes later, while we were still waiting in traffic to exit the parking lot, several police cars flew past us with sirens blaring.

Later, we found out a gang fight had broken out in the food court right where we had just been. A dozen people were arrested. To this day, we have no clue what my daughter sensed. There were no signs no yelling, no angry voices, no suspicious groups. Just families getting lunch. But somehow, she knew something was about to happen.
