My SIL Secretly Did a DNA Test on My Daughter — Her Reason Left Me Speechless

I always thought my relationship with my sister-in-law was decent—cordial, if not close. So when I discovered she had secretly done a DNA test on my 6-year-old daughter, I was beyond furious.

At first, I demanded answers, thinking it was some cruel prank. But her explanation left me stunned. She believed my daughter looked too different from the rest of the family and wanted to “protect” her brother—my husband—from what she assumed might be a betrayal.

She claimed it was out of “concern.” But to me, it was a complete invasion of privacy and a betrayal of trust. The test, of course, proved what I always knew: my daughter is 100% my husband’s.

This incident tore a hole in the family dynamic, and I’m left wondering how to ever trust her again. Some lines should never be crossed—and this was one of them.
