The case that shook the globe

Jocelyn and Ignacio Robertson, a newlywed North American couple, were eagerly awaiting the birth of their first child, a baby boy they’d named Noah. Jocelyn had made it to the ninth month when, one evening, she suddenly felt ill and began bleeding. Thinking it might be the food, she told Ignacio, who rushed her to the maternity clinic.

An ultrasound revealed devastating news: the baby had no heartbeat. A second doctor confirmed it. Heartbroken, the couple prepared for a cesarean delivery, knowing Noah hadn’t survived and wasn’t positioned for natural birth.

But during surgery, a miracle happened—faint heartbeats were detected. Doctors acted quickly, and Noah was rushed to intensive care. Against all odds, he began to recover.

Later, when Jocelyn held him and heard his cry, she realized he was alive. “It is a miracle that Noah is here,” she said, overwhelmed with gratitude. “I will be eternally thankful.”
