I Let My Husband’s Best Friend Have Her Wedding on Our Property, but She Suddenly Uninvited Me the Day Before

When my husband’s best friend, Lila, asked if she could hold her wedding on our property, I was happy to say yes. We have a beautiful garden, and I knew how much it would mean to her. I helped with the setup, arranged flowers, and even offered to bake a cake. Everything seemed perfect—until the day before the wedding.

That’s when I got the text: “Hey, I’m really sorry, but we’ve decided to keep the guest list smaller. Hope you understand.”

I was stunned. She uninvited me from an event on my property. My husband was furious, but I stayed calm. The next morning, I called the planner and canceled the electricity access and the outdoor restrooms—my contribution. I let them figure out how to host 80 guests without it.

Lila called me in a panic. I simply said, “I thought you didn’t need me there.”

She apologized, but it was too late. She learned the hard way: never disrespect the host—especially when the venue is their home.
