Vance, Family Moved To Safe Location After Being Targeted By Protesters

Vice President J.D. Vance’s family was relocated to a secure location after pro-Ukraine protesters gathered outside the Sugarbush Resort in Vermont, where the Vances were vacationing. The protest came after a tense Oval Office meeting involving President Donald Trump, Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, where tensions rose over U.S. support for Ukraine.

Protesters, angered by the meeting’s outcome, demanded continued U.S. backing for Ukraine and criticized the Trump administration’s stance. The confrontation escalated when Zelensky rejected a proposed economic deal that would have granted the U.S. more access to Ukraine’s mineral resources in exchange for military aid. Vance, expressing skepticism about Ukraine’s demands, questioned whether additional aid should be given without tangible returns.

As the protest grew outside the resort, security assessed the risks and moved Vance’s family. A statement from his office confirmed the relocation, citing safety concerns. Despite the protests, Vance reiterated his stance on limiting aid to Ukraine, emphasizing the need for accountability.
