In pursuit of peace and stability in his life, Saudi man Abu Abdullah embarked on an extraordinary journey, marrying 53 times over a span of 43 years. At 63 years old, Abdullah reflects on his extensive marital history, explaining that his numerous marriages were not driven by personal pleasure but rather a quest for tranquility and true love.
In an interview, Abdullah revealed that his first marriage occurred when he was just 20 years old, and his bride was six years his senior. Interestingly, he shared that his shortest marriage lasted only one night. Over the years, Abdullah’s marriages included both Saudi women and foreigners, whom he met during his travels abroad on business. “I used to stay for three to four months, so I married to protect myself from vice,” he explained. This was particularly important given that, according to Shariah law, intercourse between unmarried couples is illegal in Saudi Arabia.
Despite his extensive marital history, Abdullah is now married to one woman and has no intention of marrying again. He expressed a longing for support, stating, “I have cars, bungalows, and properties, but I still don’t have any support. I just want someone’s support. Even now, if someone wants to marry me, I will definitely marry her.”
