My Family Left Grandma Alone at a Restaurant to Ditch the Check—Too Bad They Messed with the Wrong Granddaughter

My Family Left Grandma Alone at a Restaurant to Ditch the Check—Too Bad They Messed with the Wrong Granddaughter

It was supposed to be a simple family dinner, but when the bill arrived, things took a surprising turn. My family, always known for their love of freebies, decided it was time to “ditch” the check, leaving Grandma alone at the table while they pretended to leave for a “quick” errand.

I had enough of their antics. As they casually strolled out, I quickly paid the bill—plus a generous tip. Then, I made sure to take a quick photo of the receipt, send it to the family group chat, and added, “Thanks for the dinner, guys! I’ll be expecting you to Venmo me for your share!”

The look on their faces when they realized they were caught was priceless. They had underestimated me, and now they would be paying for it. Moral of the story: Don’t mess with the wrong granddaughter.
