Keanu Reeves recently shared an unfortunate accident while filming his latest project, *Good Fortune*. During an appearance on *The Late Show with Stephen Colbert*, Reeves, known for his action roles in *The Matrix* and *John Wick*, revealed that he broke his kneecap under rather mundane circumstances.
Reeves explained that while shooting a scene with Aziz Ansari and Seth Rogen, he was performing a “cold shuffle” in a room with protective carpets. His foot got caught in a pocket, causing him to stumble and drive his kneecap into the ground. “My patella, kneecap, cracked like a potato chip,” Reeves said, though he didn’t realize the extent of the injury until his knee started swelling.
Despite his injury, Reeves maintained his humor, quipping, “Comedy is hard, man,” and noting that it wasn’t an action film scene but a comedy. The film, which also stars Sandra Oh and Keke Palmer, marks Ansari’s directorial debut.
