Although the estimated value for Elvis Presley’s mink and fox fur coat was $10,000 to $15,000, an American collector acquired it for $163,000 at an auction. The rock and roll icon donned the coat as per his request in the year of his demise in 1977. The garment was gifted to Mike Alden by Elvis’s fiancée Ginger Alden, and later donated to lottery organizers, ultimately won by a single mother of four in 2006. Other Elvis Presley items sold at auction included a chain and ruby necklace, a sapphire pinky ring, and the seatbelts from his 1960 sports car.
