Hollywood star Tom Selleck, known for his roles in Magnum, PI and Blue Bloods, has spent over 30 years living on a California ranch with his wife. Selleck, born in Detroit in 1945, began his entertainment career in the 1960s with small film and TV roles. He gained fame as Thomas Magnum in Magnum, PI, winning a Primetime Emmy for his performance. He later appeared in popular shows like Friends and The Closer and continues to star in Blue Bloods, which has 13 seasons.
Despite his successful career, Selleck values his personal life and left Magnum, PI in 1987 to focus on it. He married Jillie Joan Mack, his second wife, and they purchased a ranch in Ventura, California. Selleck found solace and anonymity on the ranch after leaving Hollywood to renew himself.
Selleck and Mack have been married for over 30 years and have a daughter, Hannah. The ranch has been their sanctuary, but it comes with challenges, including Selleck managing all property tasks himself. He also faced water theft allegations, accused of taking water from a hydrant near his home. Selleck settled the case by paying damages and investigative costs and is barred from obtaining water from the Calleguas Municipal Water District.
