If you spot someone wearing these shoes, stop what you’re doing and look around. You had probably better know what it means I had no idea

In a world where mobility challenges abound, visually impaired individuals face unique hardships. Fortunately, technological advancements offer them significant enhancements in their daily lives.

One such innovation comes from the Austrian company Tech-Innovation, which has developed high-tech shoes equipped with sensors to aid the visually impaired in navigation. The product, called InnoMake, uses vibrations or sounds to alert users of obstacles within a range of four meters to half a meter.

The sensor, seamlessly integrated into the shoes, features a rechargeable battery lasting up to a week and takes only three hours to fully charge. An accompanying app allows users to customize settings, such as detection distance, and offers additional functionalities.

To address weather concerns, the sensor is water-resistant, ensuring functionality even in rainy or snowy conditions. Furthermore, an intelligent mode deactivates the sensor when the user is stationary, conserving battery life.

Potential buyers can try on the shoes at various shops across Austria before making a purchase, ensuring a personalized fit and experience.
