During his speech, Trump addressed border security, stating that he declared a national emergency on the southern border shortly after taking office. He highlighted deploying the U.S. military and Border Patrol to address what he called an “invasion,” claiming it led to the lowest recorded illegal border crossings. Trump contrasted his approach with Biden’s presidency, calling him the “worst president in American history” and criticizing the high number of illegal crossings under his administration. He accused Biden of releasing hundreds of thousands of individuals, including criminals and those from mental institutions, into the country. Trump questioned the logic behind such policies, emphasizing his tough stance on border control.
