Mother Endangers Two Daughters

The peaceful, sunlit parks of Cedar Falls were meant to be a safe and relaxing place for Emma and her two young daughters. That Tuesday afternoon felt completely normal — swings moving gently, kids laughing, everything calm and familiar. It was the kind of moment you never expect to change.

Then suddenly, it did.

It started with an unusual cough from her older daughter. Moments later, the younger one seemed off balance, her eyes unfocused, her movements unsure. What had been a simple walk quickly felt unsettling.

Their breathing became strained, no longer easy or relaxed. Each breath sounded tighter, more difficult, as worry began to rise.

Emma paused, trying to make sense of it all… before realizing something wasn’t right.
