Paris Jackson opens more on Michael Jackson’s true parenting style.
Paris Jackson is the second child of the late great musician Michael Jackson and has been a public figure since she was just a toddler.
Paris’s life has been fraught with difficulty ever since her father’s death. However, the gifted young lady is now forging her own path as a professional musician.
Despite the ups and downs of her life, she has finally decided to talk about growing up with her father, the “King of Pop.”
Hardly anyone hasn’t heard of Michael Jackson by this point.
To call Michael Jackson the “King of Pop” is an understatement.
You know they don’t call you “The King of Pop” for no reason. We mourn the loss of the singer because, despite his talent, his life was not without struggle.
A very strict father who was quick to discipline his children if they didn’t fall in line caused Michael a lot of troubles at home from the beginning, when he sang with his siblings in the Jackson Five.
Michael Jackson, one would argue, was manufactured from infancy onward to fulfill the role of pop star and singer. But that won’t diminish the undeniable genius of his singing, dancing, and songwriting.
Everyone was saddened by the loss of Michael Jackson in 2009. The paparazzi and tabloid media had followed him for the majority of his life, and they didn’t stop covering his funeral.
Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris
Media helicopters trailed the helicopters taking his body from the Los Angeles hospital. Michael Jackson and his family continue to be the subject of worldwide media coverage.
His focus these days is primarily on his loved ones. His kids are easy prey for cameras since everyone wants a piece of the Jackson fortune.
Paris Jackson, Jackson’s second child, has been in the limelight her whole life. She is now making every effort to establish her identity apart from being known as Michael Jackson’s daughter.
And the reality is, she’s doing fantastic after struggling with mental illness for a long time.
The Formative Years of Paris Jackson
California on April 3, 1998 was the place of Paris Jackson’s birth. She’s Michael Jackson’s only daughter and his second kid.
She had a secluded childhood because she and her brother were homeschooled until sixth grade. Michael Jackson was very protective of the children and eager to keep them from the public eye. The earliest known photographs of Michael’s children show them dressed up or hiding their identities behind scarves.
Therefore, life on the Neverland Ranch for Paris and her siblings was quite confined. There’s no denying their great privilege, but they had to struggle at times.
Paris Jackson discussed her father and upbringing in an interview with supermodel Naomi Campbell that was posted on YouTube.
Michael Jackson, she claimed, ensured their “cultured” upbringing.
“My dad was really good about making sure we were cultured, making sure we were educated, and not just showing us like the glitz and glam, like hotel hopping, five-star places,” Paris explained.
In addition, it was as if we witnessed everything. The group visited developing nations. Everything was on display for us.
Recalls her formative years
Growing up, Paris Jackson moved around a lot as her father, Michael Jackson, performed for millions of fans around the world.
She describes her “privileged” upbringing as one for which she is eternally thankful. Paris also taught early on that she shouldn’t have an entitlement mentality. Her father drilled into the kids the importance of working for what they wanted.
“Even when I was a kid, it was all about the money,” Paris added. We had to read five books if we wanted to buy five toys at FAO Schwarz or Toys ‘R’ Us.
“It’s earning it, not just being entitled to certain things or thinking ‘oh I got this,'” she continued. In other words, “it’s like working for it, working hard for it, it’s something else entirely, it’s an accomplishment.”
Michael Jackson’s untimely death is a tragedy.
In his residence on June 25, 2009, “The King of Pop” went into cardiac arrest and died shortly after being taken to the hospital. Following Michael’s death, his grandmother Katherine Jackson became legally responsible for Paris and her brothers.
Paris, then 11 years old, spoke at her father’s memorial service, which was broadcast around the world.
“Dad, from the day I was born, has been the most wonderful, caring, and supportive father a child could hope for,” she remarked. And I really need to tell him how much my heart loves him.
In addition to Paris, the televised burial service also featured the princess’s 12-year-old brother Prince Michael and 7-year-old brother Prince Michael II. In fact, that was the first time the public got a good look at Jackson’s kids.
The next time the public saw them was in January of 2010 at the 2010 Grammy Awards, where they accepted a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award for their late father.
The post-Neverland years in Paris Jackson’s life
Paris went on The Oprah Winfrey Show in November of that year to gush about her incredible dad.
She said with Winfrey, “I kind of felt like no one understood what a good father he was, he was the best cook ever.” He was just like any other father.
“He made the best French toast in the world,” Paris said.
After Michael Jackson’s death, Paris and her grandmother Katherine Jackson reportedly relocated into a mansion in Calabasas, California, with other family members.
At the age of 19, she transformed Michael Jackson’s private studio at the Jackson family estate into her own personal dorm room.
