Vets reveal very last thing all pets do before being put down and it’s heartbreaking

This shattered my heart in more places than one. And just a warning — it might break yours in half too.

However, this said, it is an important read and I really hope we can together help everyone to become more aware of this, so please make sure you share with every single person you know that owns a pet — as well as simply the public at large, on Facebook for example.

Our pets are extremely precious to us. We are there for them to provide them with love, care and plenty of cuddles and treats.

But it turns out there is one fundamental moment we simply aren’t there for them.

It all started when pet owner and regular veterinary patron Jessi Dietrich asked her cat’s vet what the toughest part of his job was.

“Asked my vet what the hardest part was about his job and he said when he has to put an animal down, 90 percent of owners don’t actually want to be in the room when he injects them,” she tweeted, adding: “So the animal’s last moments are usually them frantically looking around for their owners, and to be honest, that broke me.”

The vet’s response cracked Jessi’s heart in two and she decided she had to report this to everyone she knew to try to make a change.

After Jessi’s post went viral, many other veterinarians came forward and shared the same, painful observation.

The below Facebook post from an employee at the Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital then began spreading by the thousands.

This is a simple piece of information I think we could all benefit by. If everyone shares this, then I am sure less pets would die sadly and alone, looking desperately for their beloved owner and best friend.
