In March 2024, the host shared on Instagram that Julia was diagnosed with cancer.

She shared with her fans, “It really hurts to say that our lovely Mama Julia has been diagnosed with cancer.”

A lot of us are going through some really hard times right now, and I know many of you can relate. Mom is showing a lot of courage.

My brother Jamie and I are really impressed by how amazing the doctors, nurses, and support staff are with taking care of Mom.

I really appreciate it! A big thank you to our families, relatives, and friends both at home and at work for all the support they’ve given us during this time.

Zoe mentioned that she would be stepping away from her job for a while to support her mom with her diagnosis.

When Zoe returned to her Breakfast show on April 17, 2024, she shared with everyone that her beloved mother had been placed in a hospice.

She gifted a Bon Jovi song to the paramedics who assisted Julia.

She announced on the radio, “Mom is currently in hospice care. It’s a tough time for our family right now.”

What caused Julia Peckham’s death?

On April 24, 2024, Zoe shared the sad news that her mom, Julia, who was 74, had passed away after fighting pancreatic cancer for a long time.

She paid tribute to her on social media and told her followers that she had died.

She posted a picture of Julia with the words “Sleep tight, dear Mama.”

We really appreciate you teaching us to love without any limits, to always be brave and kind, and to remember that laughter is the greatest gift, even when things are tough.

“We miss you so much, but we will hold on so tight to each other.”

She also said, “Today I say goodbye to Granny J. Thank you for being a wonderful woman.”

In 1969, Julia tied the knot with Johnny Ball, who was a television presenter.

Zoe came into the world on November 23, 1970, and she was 21 years old at that time.

Julia and Johnny ended their relationship when Zoe was just two years old, and by 1972, they were officially not married anymore.

Zoe has mentioned how difficult it was for her to connect with Julia after her parents got divorced.

In the past, she said, “I didn’t see my mom Julia for a few years because she was so young when she got married to my dad and had me.”
