Silent House Horror

Silent House Horror

It was supposed to be quick.

Just a short trip to buy a toy. Something simple to make her smile on her birthday. I remember rushing through the store, picking the one I knew she’d love, imagining her reaction.

I wasn’t gone long.

But when I got back… something felt wrong.

The house was too quiet.

No footsteps. No laughter. No sound of cartoons in the background. Just silence — the kind that doesn’t feel normal. The kind that makes your chest tighten before your mind even catches up.

“Sweetheart?” I called out.

Nothing.

I stepped inside slowly, the toy still in my hand. Every room I passed felt emptier than the last. My heart started pounding, louder than anything else in the house.

Then I noticed it.

Something wasn’t where it should be.

And in that moment…

I knew this wasn’t just silence.
