Teddy Bear Secret

It was just a simple toy.

A small, worn teddy bear I found at a flea market. Nothing special — just something soft, something comforting. I bought it for my daughter without thinking twice.

She loved it instantly.

She carried it everywhere. Slept with it. Held it close in ways that made it feel like more than just a toy. Like it meant something deeper to her… something I didn’t fully understand at the time.

Then… everything changed.

After she passed, the house felt empty in a way words can’t explain. Days blurred together. Silence became unbearable.

One evening, I picked up that same teddy bear.

It still smelled like her.

As I held it, I noticed something unusual — a small opening along the seam. My hands started to shake as I gently pulled it apart.

Inside… was something hidden.

Something she had placed there herself.

And in that moment…

It felt like she had left me one last piece of her.
