Wedding Day Scandal

Wedding Day Scandal

Everyone expected Rhea to arrive ashamed.

That was the whole point of the invitation.

Three years earlier, Mark had thrown her out with nothing but a suitcase and a broken heart. When he mailed the wedding invitation, he wanted her to see how well his life had turned out without her. On the back, he had even written a cruel message:

“Come watch me marry the woman who replaced you.”

People laughed when they heard Rhea accepted.

They imagined her sitting quietly in the last pew, pretending not to cry while Mark started his new life.

Then the church doors opened.

And the laughter died instantly.

A sleek luxury car rolled to a stop outside. Guests turned their heads. Cameras came out. Whispers spread through the crowd.

The driver opened the rear door.

Rhea stepped out.

Elegant. Confident. Radiant.

She didn’t look like a woman who had lost everything. She looked like someone who had found something far more valuable.

Gasps swept through the church.

But then came the real shock.

Two little boys climbed out behind her.

Twins.

About three years old.

The resemblance was impossible to ignore. The same dark eyes. The same smile. The same unmistakable features.

Mark’s face turned white.

His bride gripped the altar rail so hard her knuckles lost color.

The twins walked calmly down the aisle beside their mother, completely unaware of the storm they were creating.

Then one of them pointed directly at Mark.

The entire church held its breath.

“Mommy,” the little boy asked innocently, “is that our daddy?”

The silence that followed felt endless.

Because in a single moment, the wedding stopped being a celebration.

And became a reckoning.
